Tuning Complaint - Help!

Hi Terry,

What piece did she play when she tried the piano *before* you left her
home? Or did you play it for her? I try if at all possible to have the
client play and approve the tuning before I leave. I suspect that a Whitney
that went 40 cents flat in 3 weeks may have a (hidden) structural flaw.

Do go back, do check the piano. If it is still accepteable then you have an
education opportunity with this elderly client. Is she wearing hearing
aides? They have a generally adverse effect on tunings. I do believe you
should have told her about the temperament, on the basis of full disclosure.

Yamaha U3. Today I get my first tuning complaint!
