A history of tight jack flanges ???? whos history ? And one is prompted to wonder why the problem was not corrected before such a history was allowed to develope :) Suggests someone has been dinking around with this action .... eh ??? > >Sure enough, the one symptom of a tight jack flange(hammer buried in the >hammer line..key doesn't work) was exactly what the caller was >seeing...but.. > >it wasn't a tight jack flange...what was it? > Could be several things causing this symptom... some have been named.. weak rep spring etc. Sounds like something is preventing the jack from getting back under the knuckle eh ? The jack could be adjusted a bit too far out. Combined with nominally light reps springs you can get misses and hammers will stay below the line. Could also be the rep lever is regulated to low so the jack hangs on the knuckle. >First correct answer receives a slightly used white felt mute...! .. no, >that's not a hint. > >-Phil Bondi (Fl.) >tito@philbondi.com Richard Brekne RPT NPTF Griegakadamiet UiB
