Hi Bob,
 We may be talking about two diferent actions. Just a drop of Vodka on the
left or right will not travel across to the other side, thus easing the
cloth to that side.
The sticker type that I think of has a saddle of felt into which the metal
clip is snapped onto the wippen. The felt if too wide can cause binding of
the action center. And If the Stickers have been resting off center for an
extended time, they will have a memory to return to that place. If the felt
has been cut to the correct width, unsnapping the sticker and pulling the
felt ( it is not glued in ) and pinch roll the felt in your fingers. This
will change the fibers of the felt perhaps enough to use the same felt.
