Any good ideas on how to explain tone and pitch??? Thanks.

Tone is color. Pitch is size. The difference between a blue dress in a
size 5 and a red dress in a size 5 is the color. The difference between
a blue dress in size 5 an a blue dress in size 10 is one fits, the other
doesn't.

I like high-low for pitch and bright- dull for tone.
Somewhat simplistic especially for tone, but it clears up the confusion
between the two.
