Value of S&S L / Terry Farrell's comment

Hi Joe. Sorry to disagree with you here, but I have never got the impression that the PTG caters to the tuning/servicing end of things while minimizing rebuilding. The Journal is full of stuff on rebuilding. The class selection at conventions is great for rebuilding. Certainly, there are more volume directed at tuning/servicing, but I suspect that is appropriate because more techs focus their efforts in that direction.

It seems to me there is an appropriate focus on rebuilding in the PTG.

I am so thankful there is such a wealth of information available to anyone that wishes to learn about rebuilding. The CD of reprints, the CD of all the Journals from the 1970s to recent, the conventions, this list, the willingness of other techs to lend one-on-one technical advice, PTG chapter meetings, etc., etc. I hate to admit it, but there is still lots and lots of rebuilding stuff that I have not read - and I have read LOTS of it!

Now you may well be right about the categories for rebuilders.
