Knuckles? Why not use little rollers instead ?

     Once they have figured out how to implement a
controllable ( perhaps adjustable? ) resistance which
simulates buckskin knuckles in "feel" ( but without
the obvious disadvantages of this antiquated
technology! ) I suspect that they will a have a very
uniform and responsive action, indeed! My best wishes
to them.
