Phil, You need to be cautious as to what you put on leather key bushings. Proteck is NOT one of those substances! Another approach would be better. Try: 1. burnish the leather with a very smooth tool, such as a plated screwdriver blade. 2. Make sure the key pins are absolutely free of any corrosion or crud. 3. Once the key pin is clean and smooth, apply a spray Teflon on the keys, (NOT on the leather, as the carrier is alcohol, which will effect the leather).
