Twisted key

There is a better way to un-warp a key. Try putting the key in vise, at the
point of the beginning of the warp. Wrap the key with a wet rag. Allow to
soak for a few minutes. Place a Jorgenson clamp on the key front/sides and
"torque" the key in the direction you want to un-warp, by moving the
Jorgenson clamp and blocking it in position. It takes a bit of trial and
error, but this will work. If you "un-warp" it too much, reverse the
direction of the "torque". Periodic checking will tell you when the key is
straight. Let dry, in a static position and reinsert. This has worked for
me, (usually on poorly made keys on Over-Damper pianos.<G>
