There is a better way to un-warp a key. Try putting the key in vise, at the point of the beginning of the warp. Wrap the key with a wet rag. Allow to soak for a few minutes. Place a Jorgenson clamp on the key front/sides and "torque" the key in the direction you want to un-warp, by moving the Jorgenson clamp and blocking it in position. It takes a bit of trial and error, but this will work. If you "un-warp" it too much, reverse the direction of the "torque". Periodic checking will tell you when the key is straight. Let dry, in a static position and reinsert.
