Hi All,

I decided to write vintage and see what services they do offer.

>Don,
>Thank you for your inquiry.

>Many of the pianos we restore require all new actions, while other pianos
>are able to be restored with some or most of the original mechanisms
>serviced rather than replaced. Most of the time use our own
>judgment...other times, customers may have input as they see fit.
>
>Just to give you an idea...to totally refinish & restore a small to medium
>size grand with a closed-grain finish, new strings, pinblock, all new action
>(we generally use Renner actions) is around $7,000-$8,000. The action
>itself is about $2,500-$3,500 depending on piano, but we give a better price
>when a new action is ordered with a complete refinishing/restoration job.
>Hope this helps. Let me know what other questions you might have.
