Terry, Those electric pliers with the curved jaws are quick, clean and easy! Just use a rheostat with 'em! The $250 ones from Pianotech have straight jaws, with grooves for the shank. They are for twisting the shank, to get the hammer face square with the strings. I have both. (Bwahahahahahahaha!)
