Thump,

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 While oxidation may be a problem, there is=
 a way that threaded=20
steel into the aluminum rail may be less likely to wear away the tap in the=20
aluminum if a loctite mild strength thread locker were applied to the screw=20=
before=20
carefully guiding it back in the rail.=20
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 Loctite produces a number of products (=
bonding agents in various=20
strengths) that can be administered onto threads that, when applied, and the=
=20
screw put back in place and it dries, it will form a bond that can be broken=
=20
with regular hand tools, (action driver or screwdriver in this case)=A0 but=20=
will=20
not come loose on its own.

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 I've also used teflon tape on screw thr=
eads, this works too. As=20
for preventing oxidation, I don't know of any product. I believe preserving=20
the tapped holes by=A0 careful guiding (TLC) when re placing the screw and/o=
r=20
using loctite can prevent stripping out.=20
