Julia,
It would be nice if you would give the screw size, instead of "5/16"
diameter x 2 3/4"". According to my Screw Gauge, the screw size is either
#19 or #20. More than likely #20.
This is why I salvage olde clunker pianos. I suggest you ALL do the same. It
is a great source for these "obsolete" screws. However, a decent Hardware
Store can still get this size screw. You'll just have to buy 100 of the
puppies! I have at least 50 of them in my junk yard. <G>
