Drill bits tend to wander to the softer material - so be aware of that. Again recently I was reminded how happy I am with the cobalt drill bits for metal. Mine are made by Dewalt. They advertise superior drilling in stainless steel. It could have been butter I was drilling through. Start with a smaller pilot hole to prevent wandering. Keep speeds slow to prevent overheating the bit. Keith Roberts
