Hi Terry, I found some hex drive bits that have a u for a tip I grind them to a sharp point and can back out a screw ( real hard ) with them even with the pressure bar on. I think part of the process is the pounding on the screw that loosens it in the wood, I have never had to try removing a screw that I have put in. When replacing the screw ( if you get it out easy ) consider CA to make the screw hold without plugging and drilling. Some thin will stiffen up the fibers quite nicely.
