Hi Phil

I always use a sleve thats just the same outside diameter that the plate hole is, and the same inside diameter as the drill bit... plus enough so that the bit slides easily through it. The sleve is 12 mm long. I got several for different size drill bits.

Works pretty decently, mildly a hassle... but no biggie.
