Beats me, but I'd change the magnet gap by 1.5mm closer, then farther away 
from where it is now and measure the DW difference a 1.5mm gap change makes 
at the key front to get an idea.

Unclear in what way? I'm not sure I know any other way to explain it other 
than the way I have.
