Guess I wasn't reading carefully; wasn't sure you were doing a survey:
Area: Suburb of Boston, MA.
(1) Yamaha G5, on a brand new luxury cruiser (out of Boston). New bass 
strings and pins. Couldn't hold a tuning worth a damn, terrible tone. 
Purchased about 1 year earlier.
(2) Similar sized Kawai, major cracks opening in the soundboard, very 
low torque in the pinblock. Purchased about 2 years earlier.

On the other side of the coin, two customers, one  with a Yamaha C3, 
the other a G5. They've had them a couple years, and they're holdng up 
fairly well.

Other than those, I don't have any gray market pianos in my clientele 
(that I can think of at the moment).
