I would = just let the piano go back the way that it was delivered, provided that = the note probably was not of consequence anyway. If there were a tuning = pin in the center of the piano which wouldn't hold, that's another = matter, and would depend on how much my back were pushed up against the = wall. I'd make sure to have the responsibility rest with someone else = for my attempted repair. If I were the technician sent out from the = company which rented the piano for this venue, then I'd have carte = blanche, because I could do whatever was necessary on the piano, and = then fix it later. They couldn't sue me, their employee, they'd be suing = themselves. I don't think it's such a big thing, and I admire the fact = that you are so dedicated, I am too, as a matter of fact.
