The convention was planned by our former Executive Director, and approved by 
the Executive Committee about 5 years ago. For the past 2 years, the Board 
has been trying diligently to move the convention to another date. But the 
cost of getting out of the contract was much more than the loss of attendees. 


The PTG did have conventions of the July 4th Holidays several times. We got a 
great rate. But we also paid the price for it. It won't happen again.

I realize family does come first. So take them to the convention. Experience 
the 4th in another town. You should have been in Arlington three years ago. 
The fireworks over the Washington Monument were spectacular.
