The hole should be about the diameter of the shank of your drywall screw,
and the screw should be a #6 coarse thread. You want enough bite to not
just strip the damp threads (because you put a drop of water in the hole
before inserting the screw) when you pull with your shank extractor after
heating the screw. Did you get that?

Drill hole
Water
Insert screw
Heat screw
Pull screw and shank stub with shank extractor
Grin like you knew it would be that easy
