A few years ago, when I worked for Baldwin, they sold an old C.F.Stein grand.
It was a decent instrument, with a nice mahagony cabinet, as I remember. It
was probably around 5'8" or so. It was sold to an elderly couple. The man
called to complain that the treble notes weren't working, which I found
strange because I had tuned it prior to delivery. When I got there, he
showed me the piano and played the notes. It worked just fine. I told him
so and he said "Oh, I must be going deaf".
