Hi Jason,

Instead of the same performer use a Yamaha disklavier grand or similar.
That would eliminate the largest of the variables. It would also mean the
recording could be done in the same hall with the same piano and same
recording equipment. 

As Bob mentiones some of the #1's should be HT and some of the #2's should
be HT--but the people administering the actually listening test must also
be "blind" to which is which. Easily enough done.
