Pre 1900 M&H uprights I've worked on had WN&G prominently displayed on the
actions. I've never worked on a Mason grand that old so I can't say what was

Under the hammer rail felt (obviously where no one would ever see it) is
stamped "Wessell Nickels & Gross". Did WN&G make actions for M&H? Did M&H
make their own actions and perhaps buy some parts from WN&G? Did M&H
cannabalize some old WN&G actions to make this action in 1913? Just curious.
