Brass Rail Duplication

Then you would have to mess with plugging the original holes and you lose
them as layout guides. As I remember now, the rod lets you start bolting on
the butts right away. Just pin it in place and start assembling. The
adjustment factor with the rod is excellente.

He uses a 1/16" steel rod for the indented part. I'll have to look more
closely at that - it wouldn't be hard to just glue on a little strip of
maple - I may just go ahead and do that - we'll see.
