Hi Keith. As Mike McCoy pointed out, Spurlock's rail conversion procedure is part of his "Vertical Hammer Replacement" instructional pamphlet. In my case I will need to plug the holes, as they are lower than the flange holes. He uses a 1/16" steel rod for the indented part. I'll have to look more closely at that - it wouldn't be hard to just glue on a little strip of maple - I may just go ahead and do that - we'll see.
