Hi Clyde,
                  You need to re leather the back checks, with a quality 
back check leather, and arc the hammer tails. I suggest using the Spurlock 
jig.
The tails must be square with the hammer rail, the jig will look after 
this.  You will then have to Realign the back checks, and adjust the rake 
of the checks.
The leather part of the job will be covered by warranty.  The tailing is 
considered a design change,
