Subject: Restoring gloss to plastic keytops

I'm trying to clean and polish the plastic keytops on my 1923 5'8" =
Krakauer. They were replaced some time more than five years ago, and =
have the note name embossed at the tail.

Stop by Bernie's Lapidary on North Broadway, Rochester, and tell him =
you need a buffing wheel and some compound for polishing plastic. Get a =
mandril from him so you can chuck the wheel in a drill or your drill =
press. You don't need a lot of speed. The compound does the cutting =
and polishing. Load the wheel with the compound and gently apply it to =
the keytop. Make sure the keytop is clamped to something. Check your =
progress in 5 or 6 seconds and repeat as required. The buffing residue =
can be removed with a SOFT cloth and soapy water (spit will work too). =
Any trouble, call me.
