Patrick, It appears to be an extremely, innovative arrangement to facilitate repetition. Unless you have a sound reason for discarding them, please don't. Make every effort to retain them by rebuilding them if necessary. It won't take that much longer, and you'll preserve a unique piece of design and engineering.
