I've seen on the Yamaha owners manuals (on line they are available)2 differenet tuning curves for the CP 70 and CP 80 (if memory serves) . possibli the scaling changed also with different generations of these beasts. Joe did you use buckskin on the hammers, I can't see the artificial leather sold separately, in fact only "Hammer assembly" is listed in my parts manual for CP 70-80. The leather seem to be tense on the hammers. I wonder also if it can be surfaced, needled, etc. Greetings. ------------------------------------ PianoTech Isaac OLEG accordeur - reparateur - concert oleg-i@noos.fr 17 rue de Choisy 94400 Vitry sur Seine tel: 033 01 47 18 06 98 fax: 033 01 47 18 06 90 mobile: 033 06 60 42 58 77 ------------------------------------ > -----Message d'origine----- > De : pianotech-bounces@ptg.org > [mailto:pianotech-bounces@ptg.org]De la > part de Joseph Garrett > Envoyé : mardi 4 novembre 2003 17:29 > À : pianotech@ptg.org > Objet : Re:CP 70 Scale, was CP 70-80 regulation specs. > > > Hi Joe! > > Would you be willing to share the "judicious re-scaling"? > I've got to > restring one of these soon and would like to do it right > (I'm correcting > some > troubles caused by previous work...). > > Thanks, > will wickham > > Will, > Sure.
