Removing ivory without damaging it?

Greetings list.  To answer Calin's question about ivory removal: I use an
ordinary household iron (not the one from home!) and a well soaked cloth.
Place the wet (but not dripping of course) cloth over the key top and apply
the hot iron for a few seconds. this will soften the glue without damaging
the ivory.
