Hello Dave Doremus There's a strange sound comes out of our Yamaha C6 in the Pit. It is quite low in volume and none of our reps have noticed it. I found it only happened when playing the first few notes in the top break. It turned out to be sympathetic vibrations in the "duplex" stringing of the middle break. That's just about where the listing cloth from the tenor break stops. If I put listing in that duplex the strange noise stops. Goes to show that the duplex stringing wasn't arranged to be really tunable. Just a thought - if all else fails...:-) Regards Michael G (UK)
