can't afford a laser bill, although the Pearl River piano factory Tech 
advisor (saw him in Detroit for the chapter meeting) is contempating a laser line to 
set let-off. I HAVE looked at the ultimate system for measuring large jigs, 
which is a jig transit (WWII airplane factories used them) but this seems 
overkill since you need a heavy tripod and expennnnnnsive transit. Neverthless any 
deviation anywhere on the piano rim, plate, bridge would show up +-.003.
