Michael,
We've got our vernacular versions of part names too (worst case being 
Jim Bryant's universal "thingie"), but  back in 1977 Merle Mason et al 
complied "Piano Parts and Their Functions." If you don't have a 
Commonwealth version of this I urge you to buy several copies (from the 
PTG HO) and have your comrades in the PTA agree on what's standard (and 
clear) common usage in your realm. Otherwise I'll have to sic Joe G. 
and Tom D. on ya!
