Verituner spinner movement

Terry Farrell asked:

Is it the more prominent partials that drive the spinner or is that =
controlled by data in the "style" coding? Seems to me the style data =
would dictate spinner motion (which may include data from up to 8 or =
however many partials).

Hey Terry,

My understanding is that it is a blending of the usable partials based on
the strength of each heard. This from the user guide:

"The Verituner does not set a single partial and offset. The spinner reacts
dynamically to the combined targets of multiple partials of the note you are
tuning. The relative strength and weakness of the partials also influence
the mothion of the spinner. These and other variables are used by the
Verituner's proprietary algorithm to determine the 0 point at which the
spinner stops."

In fine tune mode, there is an indication that represents the strength and
sustain of each of the partials.

Help any?
