Brian, To add to the other comments - your "overall appearance" does also play into what can expect to include in your rates. If you, your tools and vehicle make a *good* impression - neat, clean and orderly - the customer will get the impression you will treat their instrument in the same manner - that is - it will get excellent attention and worth every cent you charge them.
