Cents: was help with bad tuning...

Tho I am confused about many things I am not confused about the following.

Standard music terminology tells us that a half step is equivalant to a 
semitone, which of course means that there are 12 (not 13) half steps to an 
octave. A whole step is a whole tone of which there are 8 in an octave. 
There is only 1200 cents in an octave, not 1300... Don.. you suprise me ! :)

Now... whether or not anything over 25 % of a half step is under or above 
what can be considered low enough to constitute a pitch raise.... is another 
matter entirely :)
