---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Doug, When I became self-employed several years ago, I needed all the work I could get, so I took stuff that I probably wouldn't have taken otherwise. IN the end, it has paid off. I have enough people in outlying areas that I can usually schedule a couple in that area, along with one on the way out or back or both. It's kind of nice to get into other areas for a change of scene, and so I can listen to some good tunes in the peace of my car....:-) Dave Stahl In a message dated 12/15/04 1:20:54 PM Pacific Standard Time, pianotuner@frontiernet.net writes: > How far away from your home (or place of business) > does one tune or service a piano? 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles? > 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour to travel to a customer. > > I am tuning piano's that are about 40 minutes away at this point > which is not too bad, but could do more business if it was in the rural > parts of where I live. > > If you do go a long way to service a piano, to you charge a fee for > something like this?
