         The problem that you will run in to is that the CA glue will 
harden much more than the hardness of the wood and it will be difficult to 
sand level. If you try and refinish it there will be a different sheen. I 
would just use carpenters glue and hold the veneer down with masking 
tape.  Multiple layers makes  really strong clamp.
