3/8 inch hex shaft for Hale Hammer?

Hi all,

I'm still trying to resurrect my old Hale, which deserted me after many good 
years...;-(.  All of the newer hex shafts are 7/16".  Mine was 3/8", very 
close to a centimeter in diameter.  Schaff has none in the old APSCO collection or 
in their more current stash.  Do any of you fine folks have ANYTHING that 
resembles this?  I swear, it says Hale on it, even through a magnifying glass.
