2) What the heck might be blocking that pair of bass strings on this piano? I've had the various panels off and have stuck my head inside the instrument Mark, As Alan G. said, it sounds like a bridge problem. If I'm not mistaken though if at one point those strings were buzzing and someone over twisted them or applied a dab of glue to the coil that could also kill their sound as well.
