Slotted Wood Screws

I believe that there is a different Japanese standard for Phillips screws.
I've seen screwdrivers advertised that match that standard (don't remember
where).  I guess the difference would have to be in the angle of the tip.
Anyone know for sure?  If so, that might explain your stripping problems
(insert your own joke here).
