Hi Sarah, There is no problem with running the drier bars with an external humidifier in the loop. It was my standard install for grands before the bottom cover. I'd do a 6 part system with an extra current tap for a room type humdifier. The current system from DC really does need the "opposition" of the bucket and bars, and I suspect it is really only the "lag" behind of the wood that allows it to function so well. > >The prospect of running a room humidifier from an under-piano humidistat is >appealing.
