<< After all, it's brand new and costs as much as a car! Why should I have to pay another $500 or maybe even $840 (12 hrs. times $70/hr.?) >> Because it needs it. The problem here is that the sale people in dealerships don't usually inform the customer that any new piano will go out of regulation. It doesn't help the sale's pitch! Car buyers are always told that they have to bring the car in at the recommended warranty intervals. Piano purchasers are far less educated. That is something that we, as techs, can address. All the potential customers have to do is listen to us. Ed Foote RPT http://www.uk-piano.org/edfoote/index.html www.uk-piano.org/edfoote/well_tempered_piano.html
