---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment I was thinking the same as you Rob. This problem seems to be more likely to occur when the piano is subjected to higher daily temperature fluctuations. I've noticed a propensity for the Kawai name plates to develop filler cracks in country NSW, where the daily temperature variations are much more extreme than here in the coast. As Rob suggests, probably nothing to worry about. Ron O. >Ironically (howz that for a pun?) I just had a similar situation. The piano has a history of >staying in tune at A440 and also slightly better stability at the break than most sawn-off 5' grand pianos. Simply because this piano has the break at D30/D#31, which is a much better location than the B27 placement of the great majority of the competition. The most ideal position for the break in the sawn-offs, in my opinion, is E32/F33. Ron O. >, then after a move, the cracks appeared.
