What is the ornate walnut veneer used on many 1920's players?

Actually,more than you think,<grin>

I did a short dictionary search, and either is acceptable, if we are
discussing wood, and veneer. Burl seems to be the prefered, burled is
secondary or inflected usage. The root words are from Middle English
(several), and can either refer to wool working, yarn making, textiles, and
woodworking. In the textile context they can and will take on more and
convoluted meanings than we need to discuss. So when
it comes to in wood...you say tomato,Barrie says tamata, and I say t'mater.
I have learned more about this usage than I cared to, and we still have not
answered Gordons question. <grin>.

At the "thump' of the gavel this meeting will be adjourned.

In all friendship: <huge grin>
