Odd Agraffe Size

Are you sure that the old agraffes are not salvagable with reaming and polishing.  Paul Revenko-Jones posted a procedure and some pictures about reconditioning old agraffes on the list a year or two ago.  You might check it out.  I had a similar problem with a MH not too long ago.  Finding replacements proved to be impossible for the entire set.

I wish to replace a set of agraffes on an 1890s Knabe grand. It appears the thread diameter is slightly larger than a standard 7/32" agraffe. I suppost others have run across this odd thread size? If so, any solutions? Are replacements available anywhere? Drill and tap for 1/4"?
