	Actually yes.
	Mr Chamberlains "agreement" with Hitler the "peace in our time"
statement actually delayed the Germans attack on England by some months,
at which point the USA was in the effort and both out produced and out
manned the Reichs war machine.
	Mr. Chamberlain was by most accounts not suited to lead a war
effort, but the delay brought  Mr. Churchill and Mr. Roosevelt into the
leadership of the allies.
	Fortunate timing or blind luck on Mr. Chamberlain's part? Who
will know, but an idiot? 
	I think not.
