No, Keith - the entire covered bass section is mounted across a =
vertically tapered bridge with only ONE pin for each string. There is =
only a very short back scale. The piano is Broadwood grand No.251233, is =
123cm o/a and Pierce dates it as c.1933. The strings encounter the =
bridge pins on the same side throughout, with no apparent stress =
failure. Hence the original subject question.
