To those who asked about the soundboard crown in the Schumann piano with bridge agraffes, here are a few more details that I have just received: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ... Everything about the Schumann grand appears to be quite normal with the exception of the unique bridge termination pieces. The crown is very normal. The strings pass through the brass agraffes on the bridge in such a manner that they are uniformly pressed against the bridge and would remain in contact even without the locating wood screws. This would be akin to the termination pieces used in the Australian Stuart & Son pianos... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Regards, Calin Tantareanu ---------------------------------------------------- http://calintantareanu.tripod.com ----------------------------------------------------
