Cut them off close with side cutters. Then use a long butane lighter to melt
them while pulling on the remnants with needle nose. You’ll get the hang of
it. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation.

Dear List,
I am replacing all the plastic drop action elbows on a Winter spinet.  I
have 40 elbows which are not brittle and have to be removed in some way
other than breaking them off.  Is there an easier way to do this other than
removing the whippens and pushing out each center pin?
